Message Unfortunately, the engine's about fried now...somehow the engine stopped getting oil (I think the oil pump was going out for a while now...and it finally just pooped out...) So now I have a dead Z probably in need of another engine. Hell, the engine that's in there has only 11-12k miles. But the car itself has 170+. Maybe they used the old oil pump. Who knows? I don't and neither does the previous owner. Anyway, I'm seriously considering doing a TT engine swap. If I gotta do it, I'm willing to spend a few extra bucks to do a job I'd be proud of. And I'm not shy about working a few extra hours to get it done (I work a part-time job 5 days a week...only part time b/c i'm still in highschool, and I pay $100 a month on the car, parents pay the rest, it's my graduation gift...I'm tryin'...lol) Though I'm not jumping head first into the ordeal...I'm still in the research stage, trying to figure out "will this line up?", "would I have to get this, too?", "should this shit come with the engine or will I have to buy that seperately?" Shit's crazy. But the Z has been my dream car for quite a while now. I'm not about to let it die so quickly. The car is beautiful in stock form. The only aftermarket piece on the exterior is a fiberglass spoiler, which only accents the curves...doesn't look ricey. Even if I do happen to do an engine swap, I'm not going to change much on the exterior. Maybe only a diff. front bumper/lip to make room for the intercooler(s). Hell, I'm rambling, mah bad...
